about me


  Hello! I'm Nanako Sakai. Please call me Nana. I'm an international studies of regional development student. I'm interested in culture, languages, and so on. 

I was born and grew up in Niigata. I like nature. Niigata is rich in nature. My favorite place in this prefecture is the Yahiko shrine.  That place has a lot of memories for me. When I was a preschooler, I used to go there with my grandmother and grandfather, and go there for field trips at nursery school. When I was in elementary school, there were mountain climbing events at school. When I was in junior high school and high school student, I went there when I wanted to refresh myself.

These days, It's been a long time I took the ropeway to the top! I'm glad to go there. I want to go there to look at the autumn colors.

 I have some hobbies. Especially, I like listening to music. My favorite K-pop singer group is SEVENTEEN. Recently, I often listen to BLACK PINK. I also listen to many other groups. In addition, My favorite J-pop singer is Mrs. GREEN APPLE, Aimyon, and so on.

 I was a member of the track and field team in junior high school and high school. I majored mainly in short distance and hurdles. Practice was hard. However, it was an awesome memory for me to practice and talk with team members. 

 I attended a summer seminar during summer vacation. Summer seminar is an exchange-type program with students from other countries. Each group thought of solutions to the problem and made a final presentation. I had a wonderful experience attending. Also, I could notice my low level. Speaking level, listening level, thinking, amount of knowledge, positiveness are low level. Knowing these things has motivated me. My goal is to study hard and to study abroad next year.

    I also felt attending the summer seminer is so good and I want to know details of the seminer. The second photo is very nice!

    I think summer seminar is wonderful experience! The picture is so cool!!

      Thank you comment!! My favorite Aimyon song is Marigold (マリーゴールド), On the Night the Cherry Blossoms Fall (桜が降る夜は), Tonight as it is(今夜このまま), and so on.

I met two of my friends!!  We had seen in a while, so it was a lot of fun! We ate "sukiyaki"!!! It was so delicious! After we ate sukiyaki, we made a cake! It is one of my friend's birthday before that day. The cake was so pretty💓  After we took the pictures I posted on the blog, we did more decorating! Finally, we made a funny cake😂              After eating, we played some games. For example, Mario Cart, Smash Bros, and Ghost Catch (おばけキャッチ). I played the first time except for Mario Cart. Every game is so fun!! I play them again!! Changing the topics, I ate yukimidaifuku of siroikoibito flavor! I've always wanted to try it. I'm very pleased! Please try it! SOL#4

 I went to South AEON. The photo in the upper left corner shows the flock of swans! Swans are migratory birds, so they come to Niigata in winter. So, When I see swans coming, I feel that winter is coming.⛄ The Halloween season finished. So, the Christmas tree has already been installed! It is so beautiful! I bought doughnuts. It's so cute doughnuts and I thought rare flavor.  The photo is of sunset on Thursday. It was so big and so beautiful!! Thursday is a wonderful sunny day. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it was beautiful!  Please tell me how to take a beautiful sunset picture😣 Thank you for reading🌟

SOL#2

 I finished reading books!📚 Today, I write a blog about it. First book is “honmononokyouyou(本物の教養)” by Saito Takashi.  Recently, I often think lack of knowledge. So, I bought this book in September. I have a long time finish to read it. This book has six topics. For example, history, money, religion, and so on.  After reading this book I think that I want to have some experiences. I want to go to many different places. And, I want to read more books. Second book is “Who was Martin Luther King. Jr.?”. I rent this book from SALC.  I wanted to pass the exam. However, I didn’t pass it. I think I should have read this book more. These days, I try to understand English without filtering it through Japanese when I use English. I have not completely done it.
